MBA for non graduates wid work experience,is dis true????We Answered:
No. Most require both a bachelors degree AND work experience. And, by the way, standard English. I teach MBAs, and, thank goodness, I've never had one use "wid" or "dis" in class!Shane Said:
Is it better to volunteer or build work experience for graduate school? We Answered:
My daughter got accepted into 4 of the 5 grad schools to which she applied. She only did a small amount of clerical summer work and she did no actual volunteer work. However, she did do two major internships. She interned as an administrator at a major medical center, one of the biggest in the country. She also qualified as an Emergency Medical Technician which also involved a 200 Hour internship.
These convinced she did not want to go into medical administration and is in civil engineering grad school studying Transportation management on a full ride.
She got in on the basis of her research as her undergrad college required a thesis in order to graduate.
My point is that grad schools are flexible. if you have something else good, they will listen.
and she was wait listed at school 5 which was a very prestigious fellowship where she was competing with Harvard and Yale people. She was the only non-Ivy leaguer to make the cut at all.

I have no work experience and am graduating soon, will I ever find a job?We Answered:
Hey! Glad to hear you are joining the labor force! It doesn't matter what you have--employers will use what you don't have. If you had a degree, they would ask you about your experience and vice versa. There are some employers who prefer no experience so they can train you in their company's way--and you have no preconceived ideas. Also, they can pay you less. As you go along in life, you will find however, that in order to be promoted to any supervisory position, you most likely will need a degree. I don't think the staffing agency will do much for you. You are the one that needs to go out and find what you want. You've heard it before-it bears repeating: go out and smile! Use good manners, make eye contact, wear acceptable business clothing, take out piercings, wear your hair in a conventional way, cover any large tattoos, fill out the application completely and neatly-use a pen! Show interest, ask questions, speak clearly! Keep a positive mindset and make short-term goals for the process. Example: I will fill out 3 applications everyday. I will join a networking group. I will go in to 8 businesses everyday & ask for the manager, etc. etc. Good luck--you can do it!!
