I'd wear flat, full cover, comfortable shoes. You might be on your feet all day, & sore feet = sore back & tired shoulders. Its hard to concentrate on anything when your feet/back hurts.

I probably wouldn't wear a dress or a skirt. Jeans or black pants. I'd try to probably dress smart & plainly, not too fashion or trendy, nothing super-brief (like, no singlet tops or camis). Perhaps a collared button up shirt, with a knit vest?

That'd be okay for the first day, then you can take your cue from what others are wearing there. I don't think that they'd expect you to get your dress exact for work experience.

Just go around to hospitals in your area and apply. You may start out low but I know some hospitals will reimburse if you do go on to nursing school. Good Luck!
