I don't know what to suggest except to tell you about my work experience.

When my work experience came around I was lucky to be turning 16 the week before it started. I did a week in a local pharmacy. It was a small shop (not like boots) and I worked the till, stocked the shelves and I got the chance to work with the pharmacist where he let me help him (under strict supervision) make up medicines, and count tablets for prescriptions. This was a long time ago now and many of the policies will have changed now (1997).

Research a few of the local businesses around you. There may be a local business park, which you could research some of the businesses on there and see if any thing sounds interesting. Then contact them, telling them what you are doing at school, what you would like to get out of the experience, and the dates involved. Then give them chance to respond.

primary schools,animal shelters,vets,local shops,radio stations


When I went to the vets with my dog I asked the vet could I go there for my work experience, and she said yes! :D. My sister also went to the local radio station, she helped to gather information,and saw how everything worked.They also let her get involved in a radio broadcast!. And my other sister went to a magazine editorial place, and they let her model,take pictures,be an agony aunt and help put the whole magazine together

I'm in the exact same situation with the age thing... You could try a catering company, I haven't tried it yet but they might be able to do it? And for Graphics maybe contact a magazine of some sort and do something for them? I'm not really sure what Graphics involves... Also restaurants may be one to try :-)
