Is it school work experience you want? If so then you will need to contact the Human resources department at any of the hospitals in your area explaining what type of work experience you are looking for.

If you have left school and just want to see what the NHS is like then you could contact the hospitals "bank" office and ask to be added to their books, this will allow you to get work on a casual basis.

Times are hard in most NHS trsts at the mo and recruitment is being kept to a minimum so be warned.

why don't you ask at your local vets , they usually know because they send any wild animals they get brought in to them :)

Maybe you could try some local high schools, working with the science prep departments? Also the teachers that teach Chemistry at the schools could also give you more ideas about other career ideas that you can pursue with those degrees. And they may have contacts too which would be really useful and possibly help to securing more work placements and even a job after you graduate! But try your college also, where the career advisers/teachers can get you a work placement if you're stuck for ideas. Also try going to Connexions too, as they are great too.
