your shirt and high aisted skirt will go nicely together for the interview, also a belt would add nicley to it. Your right about the high heels, they might be a bit too formal and youll end up finding your feet getting sore, plus you have the horror of falling over :). Gladiagtor sandals would be ok as there comfy and low also dolly shoes would go nicely too. Yeah i think gladiator shoes would be ok to wear :)

yeah, just start by working in retail so that you can say to future employers that the experience of working in a shop has allowed you to keep up with constantly changing fashion, what suits people and what doesn't and what works with what etc
from there you could get promoted to other areas that could even lead you to designing the clothes themselves if you go in the right direction
