At our local university there is an office that has names of businesses and names of students, students looking for work, businesses that are hiring. You might see if there is something like that where you are. Otherwise, just find out where the news organizations are, including newspapers, magazines, radio, and go there with your resume. Tell them you want to be a student intern. You might need to start in another form of media other than what your ultimate goal is. Don't mention scrubbing toilets for free, though. Be careful what you wish for. Good luck.
