If you have worked on a till before, add that to your CV, most companies would prefer to employ someone who they don't have to teach about it.
Also, if you are intererested in setting off your fashion buisness I would advise you go into a local boutique (if it's a well known brand they most probably will say no). And show them some of your stuff, even giving them a couple to sell as a trial and leaving your details may help.
A friend of mine, was having trouble finding work after completing a textiles degree, within weeks she was being asked for bulk orders and has now been employed by a well known chain.

Sign up on job search websites like monster.com. You can google "job search" and find more.

If you want programming experience, sign up at RentACoder.com. There is a ton of projects you can do there from your home. If you can't compete, then pick a program and start cracking on it strictly for learning purposes until you can start making some money.

Until you land a job at a company (you may be able to make your living on that website), try for something else, even if it's not programming. Just try to get some computer experience in some way. If there is a Best Buy around where you live, you can work in their PCHO department answering customers questions about purchasing a computer or other items. At some point of time, you may be able to go into their Geek Squad. All of that is hardware, but it's better than nothing until you get into what you want.

Can I suggest looking in the Yellow Pages and looking at your local I.T companies. Give them all a ring closer to the time and see if they will take you on fgor your work experience....

I also remember when I was at school we had some one come round and help us decide what we want to do and how to go about doing it. So if you have no luck with ringing around at least your school will be able to help you!!
