Sometimes we get work experience high school students where I work. At Westmeand public hospital. But I'm sure other hospital in Sydney will have work experience too. I'm a nurse but there are so many jobs in the hospital, pharmacist, dietitian, physio therapist, occupational therapist, security, social worker, and many other menial type jobs. Then there is the mortuary and coroners (but I don't know which areas take work experience)

Hope I have given you some ideas. And don't worry these days there are quite a few guys doing nursing.

Hi Lani,
You might like to consider completing your work-experience in a local museum. I'm sure there will be lots of information about your favorite subject.

Before June, you could visit your local shopping mall, (take a small notebook with you) and if you see someone doing a job that appeals to you, you could ask them about a typical day doing what they do and what it is that appeals to them about their work.

If you find that there are several areas of work that interest you, you might consider working in two or more places for one week in each place.

If you have typing skills, you might like to try some office-work.

It is good that you are thinking ahead as this will give you time to arrange your work experience.
Be sure to ask for a reference from each place you work. This will be good for your portfolio later when you are involved in seeking gainful employment.

In yr 10 i did work experinece at a vet as well as catary. When i was in tafe i studied Fashion and worked at Be be ( myers label) and a fetsh designer - it really opened my eyes

Maybe you could go do a job at a radio station? or for a deisgner if your doing textiles.

Try to get an office-like environment to work in. It'll help immensly when you go looking for a job in college as many jobs prefer candidates with prior office experience.

their are animation schools that get you work expreince but u have to pay for the courses .......as for fast foods they usualy hire with pay not work expreince.....try going to a family member or a frends dad or somhing becuse these days you have to knw someone to let them give you work expreince....but why not jsut get a job and get payed?
