Year 10 Work Experience in Film/Tv/Theatre?

We Answered:

Just ask any local directors or producers if you can be their Personal Assistant during any production. You may not get paid but you will get the experience you need..

can i do work experience in a london theatre?

We Answered:

Yes you can, as some of the people i went to college with did work experiance in london theatres. You will have to contact them to find out if they will allow to do it. The best way is to look on their websites first (education section of the website).

Rose Said:

Any suggestions for work experience?

We Answered:

My niece wanted to do her work experience in a Solicitors office. Her school did not have such a placement available. So she wrote a letter expressing her keen desire to gain some experience of legal practice whilst on her work placement. Once this had been tweaked and polished into the final article it was posted to thirty Solicitors.

She spent her work experience with an accident and injury specialist Solicitor. She spent time in the offices, in interviews with clients and in court. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the school gained an additional placement opportunity.

The point here is that your work experience is what you make of it. A lot of it is factories and shops. If you wish to go to a theatre, but there are no available placements from your school, start writing your letter!

Good luck!

Where can I get work experience as a make up artist in London Theatres?

We Answered:

ask at the theatres if they would take you on. Tell them you are about to start a course and that you need wrk experience to see if you are going to like it. It is important you have it. You have to be a lil persuasive because they have to take time out for you and it's a big deal so you need to show you're passionate enough.
ps cant you still apply. ask at the college that you dont want to waste another yr and want to do this course soooo much coz it means alot to you. show enthusiasm and i bet they wont be able to refuse. Ask to meet the tutor. Say you want to talk to him/her about it and what it involves for you to understand what is required of you. Only that it gives you a chance to skip past people not directly involved with the course and ask her/him if you can still join. I'm sure they're wont be much catching up to do.
