Work Experience Wales

Carol Said:

who can sponsor me to live and work in Wales? I am a teacher with 12 years' experience and a Dip. in Education?

We Answered:

i am not a teacher but i am sure they would pay for you to come there. like housing, car and moving cost if they need you bad enough. i think it would be like relocation cost. my wife gets offers all the time to do that. she is a RN but if they need you, they will pay.

Rhonda Said:

who should i contact for work experience in the mounted police force?

We Answered:

Call and ask. But I think if you are interested in that, it is important to know that it is a law enforcement job, not a running around the city on horeback job...in fact many police officers who request to be on the mounted or K9 force either wait a while or have an 'in ' with a friend.

First, you have to want to be a cop, be cause that is what the job really is.

Barry Said:

is there any music stations willing to take on someone for work experience?

We Answered:

He should talk to a few radio stations in his town and find out if they would.

Dorothy Said:

do you think i could get work experience in a magazine publisher?

We Answered:

I'm guessing Cardiff or Swansea would be your best option, and I know one magazine that's produced just outside Carmarthen.
You might also want to consider newspapers as another option for work experience too. Almost every town has one.
Good luck.

Work Experience for a future airline pilot?

We Answered:

When I was in year 10 (2006) I did my 2 work experience placement at Humberside International Airport. Whilst there I spent one day in a different part of the aiport. I spent a day at a flying school (got to go flying), I spent one day at Eastern Airways (a small airline) and had a go in the simulator and every other day I had jobs in and around the airport including Air Traffic Control. Was extremely good and I got a very good reference from them. I also got to speak to 4 pilots and asked them how their career has started. Very good experience.
If you live near a small international (or not) airport then contact them but if it is a large one like Manchester, Heathrow etc then I suggest you call them and ask them if they could allocate a placement or suggest a flying school in the airport premises/environment.
They will surely accept you because mine did without hesitation.
Hope I helped.
Good luck :)

Carolyn Said:

Does anyone have any suggestions for my work experience?

We Answered:

Try to find a position in your local council or MPs offices. Other than that try a national charity's office. Ask every question you can and if there are different opinions make sure you listen to both unbiased. If someday you were then to become a politician and you were honest you might make a good one. That would make a change in this country and something I'd like to see a young person such as yourself aspire to.
