Writing A Resume With No Work Experience
Vickie Said:
When writing a resume for a teen with no work experience whose applying for a job at a toystore...?We Answered:
Including long-term career objective in your first résumé may be viewed as premature. It is good to interview someone with a goal, but I wouldn't choose to interview someone who is planning to leave my company before they've even started. You're starting on your projected career path, so I would leave out this information and focus on telling them what an enthusiastic, team-spirited and approachable person you are.
When working in a team environment, you need to show that you have commitment, are a team player and can identify and resolve problems effectively. Most importantly that you have an open mind to allow them to train and mould you.
If you are still determined to include a career objective, try something like this:
A confident communicator, able to deal with people at all levels, I'm looking to develop a wide range of knowledge, skills, and experiences to realise my long-term ambitions to enter primary school teaching.
