I was exactly the same! I had no idea what to do.
My advice is to go somewhere into an office, as a gougher or in their office services department - those areas are usually fun.
That will give you office experience + it looks good on your resume for when you do decide what to do..
In Sydney, i would suggest a law firm or accountant. Minter Ellison Lawyers usually take work exp people.

You do not have to be 16 to do work experience in a hospital. My friend went to a hospital, and was obviously in year 10 at the time - I guess it's perhaps a matter of which places are willing to have some students in to look at how things work?

I also know someone else who did their work experience in a vets. It's clearly not the same as a hospital, but it's still probably a good alternative if you're looking at going into a medical field. It would give you some idea of the hygiene standards, etc, and the way things work.

Also, if you have a Boots local to you, they often have work placements for students in their health department, which would maybe be another good alternative.

I went to a nursery/preschool and it was great! its nothing like working at a primary school and i really enjoyed it and would pick the same place if i could do it again. I am very similar to you except from i dont do dancing so maybe this would suit you as well?
Its good for arty stuff as well because they do loads of crafts and stuff which is quite fun cos i made my own with them or helped them and when they are drawing they may want u to draw something for them etc. and i also had to sometimes read to them. Also, it is very welcoming and easy to settle in because you are entertaining the kids and you are never left without anything to do.

Vets,
Schools,
etc. .
You have loads of possibilities

Go to the place you want to work at, and ask about work expereince they will either give an address to write off to, or take any froms you have with you. some places like pets at home, do not accept work experience.

GP's
Shops like M&S, WhSmith(that's were i'm doing it), accessorize etc
Primary Schools
Nursery Center's
Pharmacists
if you want you can try out the NHS a friend of mine is doing it there.
